There are criteria according to which you can establish the quality of newly purchased double-glazed windows. For example, you can find out how high-tech the production of a windows was. It is easy to find out – you just need to look at the glass unit and evaluate its cleanliness. Ideally, both the glass and the construction itself should be clean and free of stains.

In the modern production of wooden windows with double-glazed glass, workers practically do not have direct contact with them, so the presence of stains is excluded. If such marks are found, then it is quite possible that the production took place in violation of technology.

Before installing a wooden window, you must carefully examine it. The inside part of the glass, as well as the outside, must be free of fingerprints and dirt. Glass must enter the wooden construction very precisely. The indent of the first glass from the edge should not be less than 4 mm. When evaluating an insulating glass unit, you can also check the thickness of the profile.

The sealant is always present on the glass unit. But if the product is made with high quality, then the composition will never get dirty and leave traces. It will be solid and durable. If the sealant leaves traces, then you already have a reason to contact the manufacturer for exchanging the windows.

Most window problems happen for two reasons. The first reason is the desire to save as much money on windows as possible. People buy suspiciously cheap wooden double-glazed windows, and then complain that they have too thin a profile. But what could be expected if the cost of a window is two or even three times lower than the market average? Manufacturers, of course, can offer discounts and promotions. But they do not offer such low prices.

When buying cheap windows, many consumers do not even check the reliability of the company. The low price is mesmerizing. People tend to make a purchase faster before they are outstripped.

The second reason why there are problems with double-glazed windows is poor-quality installation. Professional teams usually work directly from the manufacturer. Large companies have such specialists. But you have to pay extra for a good job. Many consumers are not ready for this, they strive to save at least the cost of installation. As a result, you then have to overpay.

In order not to make common mistakes, one should always pay attention to the reputation of the company and entrust the installation of windows only to specialists. Before installing, you must also check the sticker on the window glass. If it comes off easily, then the glass unit is of high quality. But if the sticker has already glued properly, then this is not a good sign.
